Blackberry Device Emulators
Following on from my post regarding Microsoft’s emulator packages for the Windows Mobile platform (http://forum.devicewire.com/forums/601/ShowThread.aspx#601), I thought I should also let you know that RIM also provide standalone, PC-based emulator images for their range of devices – including separate images for the different network operators including all of the branding and menu options.
These emulators can be downloaded from the RIM developer web site:

All of the emulators are Java applications, and as such require that you have the Java J2SE Runtime Environment as well as the J2SE Development Kit, both freely available from the Sun web site (http://java.sun.com/)
Once installed, the emulator will be listed on the Start Menu under ‘Research In Motion’:

Once launched, you have a fully-functional Blackberry handheld on your PC:

Provided that your PC has a connection to a BES server, you can even perform an Enterprise Activation from the emulator – ideal for testing issues with the BES.
