Rumours about Google’s Mobile Phone have been circulating for a while on the blogosphere, but AppleInsider.com is now reporting Google are making huge advances in the development of the handset as well as spending “hundreds of millions" of dollars on the project.
Google are set to design the software and Taiwanese manufacture HTC is set to design the hardware.

HTC are well known for their Windows Mobile devices, but with Google going Open Source, how well will HTC devices operate on Linux?
With the Apple iPhones’ close partnership with AT&T, it would make every sense the Google Phone would launch on T-Mobile in the States. Verizon have already stated they wouldn’t partner Google, much in the same way they turned down the iPhone offerings.
What we do have to remember is rumours are just that, rumours. But it is getting increasing harder to ignore the ‘Google Phone’ buzz.
